2024 NASPO EXCHANGE CONFERENCE

The 2024 NASPO Exchange conference, scheduled for March 5 – 7 in Nashville, TN, has proven to be one of the most important procurement conferences in the United States, bringing together state procurement officers to meet with the private industry suppliers.

In recent years the conference has been attended by hundreds of representatives from private industry and the majority of US State Chief Procurement Officials.  The conference addresses trends in public procurement and provides a forum of market engagement between private industry suppliers and the public procurement community. We are especially honored to host representatives from various international groups, governments, and other procurement organizations from North America, Europe, and South America.

COOPERATIVE PROCUREMENT

In the United States and in other international markets, cooperative procurement has grown substantially in contract usage and in number of contract solutions offered. This upward trend will continue globally as public sector end users increasingly turn to utilize cooperative procurement solutions to solve their procurement needs.

EMERGING MARKETS INITIATIVE

The NASPO Exchange Conference represents a valuable place where ideas are exchanged between private and public sectors on many subjects.  It is also a place where many discussions occur regarding suggestions and ways of how new innovative contract solutions can help governments become better.

The Emerging Markets initiative was designed specifically to encourage a high-level dialogue between private and public sectors by offering a structure to consider innovative ideas.  The overarching goal of the initiative is to broaden the perspective of the procurement community by proactively exploring ideas from private.

As the international procurement community considers a spectrum of innovative concepts, we encourage private industry to offer their ideas as to which contract solutions should be developed and made available to government markets.

• What contract solutions should the procurement community produce for use by their public sector customers?
• What is the market potential for this solution/service?
• Why will adoption of a proposed solution benefit the public sector community?
• How does an innovative idea lead to more efficiency and increased productivity?

During the 2024 NASPO Exchange conference, suppliers from three continents will have an opportunity to provide their perspective and weigh in on these important questions.

INNOVATIVE CONCEPT SUBMISSION FORMAT

For us to consider your ideas, please submit a paragraph summarizing the concept and include a whitepaper outlining the essential aspects of the innovative solution. Please indicate a suggested scope and include any supporting market research demonstrating potential customer usage.

The procurement community seeks data driven ideas which may necessitate the sharing of proprietary and confidential data. Vendors should clearly mark all information which it deems proprietary and confidential prior to providing that information.  Please be aware that all information received is intended to be shared amongst the attending procurement organizations.

SUPPLIER PRESENTATIONS  

Based on the perceived utility of the concept in bringing potential value to the government marketplace, certain suppliers will be allowed an opportunity to present their Emerging Market solutions during the Exchange Conference.  The specific time and place of a selected presentation will be determined. 

There is a striking commonality of needs amongst the international procurement community regardless of geographic location.   We anticipate a great degree of interest from procurement groups located in all three continents and therefore, we plan to broadcast Emerging Market presentations virtually to various countries. 

All vendors wishing to participate in an Emerging Markets presentation in person must be registered to attend the Exchange conference.  Vendors that are unable to attend in person will be allowed to present virtually.   In addition, presentations may be given in Spanish as translation services will be provided. 

By requesting to or participating in an Emerging Markets presentation, vendors and those individuals presenting acknowledge and agree that any presentation or discussion is done entirely at the vendor’s own expense, with no reimbursement of any kind. Additionally, participation is solely for educational purposes, with no promise or guarantee that any of the ideas, presentations, or topics of discussion will be acted upon.
